Skyrim SE Review

The Elder Scrolls Skyrim special edition is the remastered edition of Skyrim released by Bethesda in 2016. There exist very minimal changes between the 8th and 7th generation version. The graphics are slightly enhanced and sharper but overall the game look and feels the same. Having said that this is still Skyrim, arguably the greatest video game ever released and I was still bought it without thinking twice.

The game adds the welcomed edition of mods which are community created additions that enhance or change the game. Through their use, it is possible to enhance the graphics further and add cheats that make the game more enjoyable. Mods on Xbox One and PC will be plenty however the PS4 has several restrictions placed on it by Sony which somewhat reduces the capability of MODS. The game will be released with all three DLCs including Dawn Guard, Dragon Born and Hearth Fire. The runs smoothly at 30Fps and most if not all bugs have been fixed as of the release date.

For those of you born yesterday who have not played Skyrim, it follows the journey of the protagonist, a dragon born with the body of a human and the soul of a dragon. The main premise explores the rise and fall of dragons with hundreds of side quests for all play styles and several guilds for the player to join including thieves, wizards, assassins and warriors. The game takes roughly 200 hours to complete with most of the quests finished. This version of the game offers very little improvements and is a disappointed as we were hoping for new content or significantly better performance.
