Uncharted 4 Review

Naughty Dog presents the last game in the incredible Uncharted series with Uncharted 4 as they explore the live of a retired Nathan Drake as he reunites with his long lost brother. The series returns to its roots of oceans and jungles after the urban settings of uncharted 2 and 3. The graphics are the best of any 8th generation video game and the story nicely wraps up the decade long journey of one of the most beloved characters and gaming series in history. The game length is longer than the previous titles with me clocking at 16 hours on moderate difficulty. 

The gameplay has been overhauled to reflect the improvements in hardware, but the fundamentals are still the same. This game is arguably the best game of 2016 winning in graphics and story. 

The game follows Drake on last adventure through the streets of Italy to the jungles of Madagascar as he tries to find the long lost treasure of the most successful pirate Henry Avery. In a series which has games that are considered some of the best of all time, uncharted 4s’ ability to depth our bond and understand the backstory of Nathan Drake, helped by the power of the PS4 makes this my favourite game of the uncharted series. 

I’d highly recommend this to those few who still haven’t purchased it and more those that have never experienced the thrill of the uncharted series, I will link below the Nathan Drake Collection which is the remastered versions of the previous games released on the PS4. I can truly say that the uncharted series offers a journey like no other and there exist very few exceptional games that can match its brilliance in storytelling and game design
