Battlefield 1 Review
Battlefield 1 is the latest release of the Battlefield series. Visually it is a beautifully created game with complemented with some amazing audio. It is a first person shooter that was based on the events of World War I. The single player campaign had a decent story that could keep gamers engaged for 12-14 hours. The portrayal of the pain and suffering that people went through during the war was presented well and there are parts where the realism of the war was brilliantly translated into the game. The single player mode allowed the players to highlight some key features of the technology that were used in that era. However the lack of a strong connection between the story and the player was taking away some of the experience. The rest of the game is not bad though, the ability to fly a WWI plane shooting down at enemies and other planes makes up for it’s minor quirks in my books.
Perhaps the strongest selling point of this game would be the opportunity to utilise the great variations of brilliantly and accurately represented historic arsenal that the franchise has created on the online platform. The integration of objective capturing and vehicular warfare greatly allows the players to experience the great war like never before. All the features that has proven to be a success in the previous versions of the Battlefield lineup was also present here;such as voice chats, team objectives and death matches. Battlefield 1 gives off a 1900's flair while still allowing more chaos that makes Battlefield such a fantastic first person shooter series. Multiplayer vehicles are more fun than ever to operate and destroyed and biplanes control with ease and precision. New vehicle base classes can spawn directly into available vehicles and conveniently repair from the inside, but popping out to repair like an previous games is the quicker action.
Overall Battlefield 1 is a fantastic pick up for anyone who is into first person shooter and the countless hours that you can put into this game is nothing short of spectacular.
